Ruhullah Says Not Invited to NC Meeting, Slams ‘Bulldozer Action’, Questions Conduct of Elected Representatives
Srinagar, Nov 27, KNT: National Conference leader Aga Syed Ruhullah on Thursday said he is a permanent member of the party’s Working Committee but was neither informed nor invited to the recent meeting, adding that he has no knowledge of what transpired there.
Speaking to reporters, Ruhullah said the ongoing row is neither about ego nor personal differences but revolves around the reservation issue. “If the government resolves the issue, I will back down,” he said, adding that all promises made during the elections must be fulfilled without delay.
He also criticised the ongoing demolition drives, saying bulldozers are running while local elected representatives remain silent. He stated that his stand is rooted in principles and is not directed against any political party.
Without naming Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chowdary, Ruhullah alleged that a senior leader who is now speaking about principles had “no address” in the National Conference two years ago. He accused the unnamed leader of lacking ethics and principles and of aligning with power for political gain. “Such a person does not deserve my response,” he said.
