Gadkari assures action on delayed Delina–Kanispora flyover, Pattan Bypass works


Baramulla, Jan 4, KNT: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has assured action on the delayed works of the Delina–Kanispora flyover and the Pattan Market Bypass following a representation made by Member of Parliament Engineer Rashid.
In an official communication, the Union Minister acknowledged receipt of a letter from the MP Engineer Rasheed seeking immediate intervention regarding the prolonged delay in the execution of the two key infrastructure projects in North Kashmir.
“I am in receipt of your letter regarding immediate intervention on delayed works at Delina–Kanispora flyover and Pattan Market/Pattan Bypass. I am having the matter looked into for action,” the minister stated in the letter.
The correspondence indicates that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has taken note of the concerns raised over the slow progress of the projects, which are considered crucial for easing traffic congestion and improving connectivity in Baramulla and adjoining areas.

The Delina–Kanispora flyover and the Pattan bypass have been facing repeated delays, causing inconvenience to commuters and traders, particularly in Pattan market where traffic congestion has remained a persistent issue.
The assurance from the Union Minister has raised expectations among locals that the long-pending works may now see renewed momentum. Officials, however, have not yet disclosed a timeline for completion. [KNT]
