A Scooty ridden by a middle-aged couple met with an accident in Khrew area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama resulting in the death of a woman while her husband has been undergoing treatment in Srinagar hospital, officials said.
The mishap occurred in Wahab Sahab locality of Khrew on Tuesday late afternoon.
Officials told the news agency KNT that a couple sustained serious injuries when the Scooty went out of control from Muhammad Altaf Ganaie, a resident of Luro Pulwama. Both Ganaie and his wife were taken to PHC Khrew and later evacuated to SMHS Hospital Srinagar.

The woman was declared dead on arrival by the doctors while Ganaie is being treated in the facility.
Police in this regard have registered a case under relevant sections of law. [KNT]
