Anti-police slogans painted on shutters

Srinagar, March 15, KNT: In an apparent move to warn Jammu and Kashmir police, unidentified persons had painted anti-police slogans on various shutters of the shops on Residency Road Srinagar. Police swung into action and erased those slogans.

The graffiti visible on various shutters in yellow paint reads, ‘JKP we are coming’ and ‘JKP terrorists’ were erased by police using black paint. It’s believed that the graffiti has been written during the intervening night of the Friday an official said.

“It is not a serious issue. It’s a mischief of some youth. You can yourself see at hundreds of places even on roads, youth have painted ‘Go India Go Back’ so for us it is not an issue,” a top police officer told KNT adding that no case has been registered in this regard. [KNT]
