Pulwama, March 1, KNT: The Higher Education Minister Mohammad Akbar Lone on Friday assured the Legislative Council that the government is actively considering the proposal to establish a Degree College in Littar area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Responding during the question hour to a request made by Congress MLC Bashir Ahmed Magray, the minister acknowledged the long-standing demand from the residents of Littar. He stated that the government would assess the feasibility of the proposal and take necessary steps if the conditions allow.
Bashir Ahmed Magray highlighted the difficulties faced by students from Littar who are currently forced to travel to Pulwama and Anantnag for higher studies. He urged the government to address this concern by setting up a college locally.
