Man arrested for carrying ‘charas’ in North Kashmir during My Town, My Pride’ program

Police in North Kashmir’s Bandipora arrested a man during ‘My Town, My Pride’ program after charas was recovered from his possession, however, his wife managed to escape leaving her bag behind.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that police apprehended a man near Bagh Crossing of Bandipora town and recovered 450-gram charas from his possession. The wife of the accused escaped from the spot leaving her bag that contained charas behind.

The accused have been identified as Shafi Sheikh, a resident of Sheikh Mohalla Bandipora.
