Two militants killed in Central Kashmir’s Budgam: Police

Police on Tuesday said that two militants were killed in an exchange of fire in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Police in a tweet said that after receiving specific input, the joint area domination party of Army & Police tried to stop one suspected vehicle in Budgam.

Police said that the militants fired upon and in retaliation, two militants were killed.

Police said that arms and ammunition were recovered from the spot of the incident.

While identifying the slain militants as Arbaaz Mir and Shahid Sheikh of Pulwama, ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that both were linked with the proscribed militant outfit LeT. He said both the militants earlier escaped from a recent encounter [KNT]
