Police register case after office record of cashier gutted in mysterious fire incident

Police have registered a case and started the investigation after the official record of a cashier gutted in a mysterious fire incident at the Irrigation Office in Rajwar Handwara area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a fire broke out in the Irrigation office at Rajwar in which the office record of the cashier was gutted.

The fire was brought under control by firefighters with the help of police and locals.

The cause of the fire remains a mystery while taking cognizance of the incident, police registered a case an vide FUIR number 36/2023 under section 436 and started an investigation in this regard. [KNT]
