Suspected militants fired upon a shopkeeper in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district this evening, police said.
They said that gunmen shot at a readymade shopkeeper in Marhama village of Bijbehara.
The victim was taken to hospital where his condition is stable. He has sustained a bullet injury in his arm.
police identified the victim as Auqib Ismail Dar, a resident of Jaffarpora Marhama.
Joint forces launched a search operation after the incident. [KNT]
