Canine bites leave over a dozen injured in North Kashmir’s Baramulla

Over a dozen inhabitants from three different villages of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district sustained injuries due to dog bites.

Reports said that stray dogs attacked locals including children and women in various hamlets as a result over a dozen people suffered injuries. Three out of them were referred to Government Medical College Baramulla while others were discharged from PHC Sheeri after getting first aid.

The attacks happened in the Narvaw, Fathegarh, and Heewan villages of the district.

Locals expressed concern over the rising population of dogs in the district. They said a couple of days several people were bitten by dogs in different villages of the district. They appealed to local Municipality to curb the population of stray dogs in Baramulla district. [KNT]
