Magam shuts to mourn the death of Iranian President







Budgam, May 21, KNT: Magam town and Shia-dominated areas of central Kashmir’s Budgam district today observed a complete shutdown to mourn the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash on Sunday.
  
Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and six other people in the helicopter, including crew members, were also killed in the crash.
  
Eyewitnesses told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that all the shops in Magam town remained shut while hundreds of mourners mostly women and children took out a procession that passed through the streets and roads of Magam.
  
The mourners were carrying the photographs of the Iranian late president and others. They raised slogans and lauded the role of Iran in the Islamic world.
