Baramulla, June 6, KNT: An elderly man was killed in a road accident in Pattan town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, official sources said.
They said a speeding load carrier vehicle (JK04F-1257) hit a pedestrian in the Pattan market. The man was immediately taken to Trauma Hospital Pattan where he succumbed to his injuries.
Hospital sources identified the victim as 63-year-old Ghulam Hasan Dar son of Muhammad Jaffar Dar, a resident of KP Bala Singhpora Pattan.

After the accident, police seized the vehicle and arrested the driver. A formal case in this regard has been filed by the cops at police station Pattan. [KNT]
