Rajouri, Spt 9, KNT: The Indian Army claimed to have killed two infiltrators attempting to cross the India-Pakistan border in the Nowshera sector of Rajouri district on Monday.
The anti-infiltration operation was conducted during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, resulting in the neutralization of the two infiltrators.
According to officials, the security forces seized a cache of weapons, including AK-47 rifles, from the infiltrators.
This incident comes just days after a gunfight between security forces and militants in the same district on September 3, where a group of militants fired at the Army during a search operation and fled the scene without causing any injuries. [KNT]
