Mother-son from Punjab duo injured in cylinder explosion

Srinagar, Sep 3, KNT: A gas cylinder explosion in the Elahibagh area of Srinagar outskirts this morning left a non-local woman and her son injured.

Local sources said that Sarwa Devi, a resident of Punjab, and her son Rakesh Kumar were injured in the blast and were rushed to SKIMS Soura for treatment.

They said  Rakesh’s condition is critical while his mother is out of danger. The cause of the blast was not known immediately.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case under relevant sections of law. [KNT]
