New Delhi, Oct 15, KNT: The Patiala Court in New Delhi has granted Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) President and Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid an extension of his interim bail until October 28, 2024. This decision comes after a series of extensions, with the initial bail granted until October 2, later extended by 10 days, and then again by three days.
Rashid was first granted interim bail on September 22, which was initially set to expire on October 2. The court later extended it by 10 days on October 1 and then by another three days, pushing the surrender date to October 15.

During his bail period, Engineer Rashid actively participated in the Assembly election campaign, although his party failed to make a significant impact in the elections.
