Republic Day Preparations Marred by Health Scare in Kishtwar, 3 Officials Suffer Heart Attack

 

Kishtwar, Jan 23, KNT: In a worrying turn of events, three government officials suffered heart attacks while preparing for Republic Day celebrations in Kishtwar district, Jammu, on Thursday afternoon.

An official told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the officials, identified as Assistant Director Fisheries Kulbhushan Verma, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rajinder Kumar, and Naib Tehsildar Machail Dharmindhar Singh Sambyal, complained of chest pain and were rushed to District Hospital Kishtwar.

He said following their initial treatment, the trio was shifted to Government Medical College Jammu on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwara, Rajesh Kumar Sharavan.

Medical Superintendent District Hospital Kishtwar said that the officials were stable when transferred to Jammu and are currently out of danger. [KNT]
