Paytm Foundation donates oxygen plant for patients in J&K’s Kathua

One97 Communications Limited which owns the brand Paytm donated an oxygen plant, which has a capacity of producing 300 liters of oxygen per minute (LPM), to Government Medical College of Kathua in Jammu & Kashmir.

The oxygen plant was formally inaugurated by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State Science & Technology. This will be used for the treatment of patients who require intensive care in Associated Hospital, Government Medical College of Kathua. The event was also graced by Bhupinder Kumar, Secretary to the Government Health & Medical Education Department, and Rakesh Minhas, D.C., Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir.

Paytm Foundation Spokesperson said, “We aim to provide pressure swing adsorption (PSA) plant to Government Medical College in Kathua, J&K, enabling it to become self-sufficient at all levels of the healthcare system, including surgery, trauma, heart failure, asthma, pneumonia, and maternity and child care, where oxygen is an important medication for treatment. This can significantly help in ensuring access to critical medical resources to people.” [KNT]
