Jailed MP Engineer Rashid Demands Probe Into Twin Deaths, Tunnel for Remote Areas

 

New Delhi, Feb 11, KNT: Incarcerated MP from Kashmir, Engineer Rashid, has called for a time-bound investigation into the recent twin deaths in Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking in Parliament for the first time, Rashid demanded strict action against those responsible for the deaths of truck driver Waseem Mir from Baramulla and Makanu Din from Kathua, asserting that Kashmiris have the right to live and their blood is not cheap.

He also urged the government to construct a tunnel for year-round connectivity to the remote areas of Machil, Keran, and Karnah in North Kashmir, ensuring better access and infrastructure for these far-flung regions. [KNT]
