Major Drug Haul Near LoC in Rajouri, Six Kg of Suspected Heroin Worth Rs 30 Crore Seized

 

Rajouri, Feb 14, KNT: Jammu and Kashmir Police have recovered six kilograms of suspected high-grade heroin near the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district.

The seized contraband is estimated to be worth over Rs 30 crore in the international market.

Police sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the operation was carried out in a forward village in the Nowshera sector based on intelligence inputs provided by two arrested drug peddlers. Sources revealed that the accused, who were nabbed with a drug consignment weeks ago, led investigators to the concealed stash.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the narcotics were smuggled from across the border and hidden at an isolated location.
