Police Foil Bovine Smuggling Bid in Udhampur, Case Registered

 

Udhampur, Mar 6, KNT: Police in Udhampur intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle (JK02DM-0781) attempting to smuggle four bovines illegally at Naka Point Jakhani.

As the police signaled the vehicle to stop for inspection, the driver abandoned it and fled the scene. Upon checking, the bovines were found to be cruelly tied and being transported without valid permission.

The rescued animals were shifted to a safer location, and a case FIR No. 67/2025 under Section 223(a) BNS & 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur. Further investigation is underway to identify and arrest those involved. [KNT]
