Kulgam, Mar 21, KNT: A three-year-old girl lost her life after being run over by a truck in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday, officials said.
The incident occurred in Peerbal village of Frisal, where a truck (bearing registration number JK05AB-9876) struck the child, identified as Zainab Junaid, daughter of Junaid Ahmad Sofi, a resident of Frisal. She died on the spot.

The truck driver identified as Umer Rehman Mantoo, son of Abdul Rehman Mantoo, a resident of Janjikulla Yaripora has been arrested, and police have registered a case to investigate the incident. [KNT]
