Railway Police Kashmir Win Praise: SPO Finds Lost Bag With Rs 30,000, Returns It to Owner in Srinagar

 

Srinagar, Apr 12, KNT: In a commendable act of honesty and professionalism, the Railway Police wing of Jammu and Kashmir Police successfully returned an unclaimed bag containing Rs 30,000 in cash to its rightful owner.

The bag was discovered by SPO Umar of the RSB section aboard the last down train on Friday.

Acting swiftly, SPO Umar secured the unattended bag and initiated the standard procedure to trace its owner.

After contacting potential claimants, the rightful owner, Iftikhar Naseem, reached out to the Railway Police and provided necessary details to claim the lost item.

Following proper verification, the bag was formally handed over to Naseem by the In-Charge of the RSB section in the presence of the Station House Officer  of Railway Police Station Srinagar, ensuring full transparency and procedural compliance.

The owner of the bag, Naseem expressed deep gratitude to the Railway Police team for their honesty and efficiency. [KNT]
