Christ School Students Observe Silence to Mourn Twin Siblings Killed in Pak Shelling

Poonch, May 19, KNT: Students and staff at Christ School in Poonch district of Jammu region on Monday observed a two-minute silence to mourn the tragic deaths of twin siblings, Ayan and Zoya, who lost their lives in cross-border shelling by Pakistan along the Line of Control.

The emotional tribute was held during the school assembly, where students, teachers, and administrators stood in solemn silence, expressing grief over the heartbreaking loss of the young lives.

Ayan and Zoya, both students from the border area, were among the civilian casualties in recent shelling by Pakistani forces that left several others injured and caused significant damage to homes and infrastructure.

Teachers at Christ School described the gesture as a mark of solidarity with the grieving family and the broader community impacted by the violence. “It is a moment of deep sorrow for all of us. Losing such innocent lives to violence is beyond tragic,” said one teacher. [KNT]
