Mehbooba Mufti Visits Sumbal, Meets PDP Workers

 

Sumbal, Aug 18, KNT: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti, on Monday visited Sumbal in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, where she called on the party’s district president, Syed Sajjad Hussain, at his residence.

During the visit, Mehbooba Mufti also held an interaction with local PDP workers, engaging with party cadres and listening to their concerns. Party sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the meeting provided an opportunity for grassroots workers to put forth their views before the leadership, particularly regarding political activities in the district.

The PDP chief, while appreciating the commitment of her party functionaries, stressed the importance of strengthening the party’s presence in north Kashmir and underscored that the PDP has always stood for safeguarding the rights and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.  [KNT]
