12 FIRs Registered Against Restaurants and Shopkeepers in Anantnag

 

Anantnag, Sept 6, KNT: Police in Anantnag have intensified their drive against violations of food safety and public health standards, launching large-scale inspections across the district.

During the ongoing enforcement campaign, several restaurants and shopkeepers were found flouting prescribed guidelines. Officials said that strict legal action has been taken, with 12 FIRs registered by various police stations in Anantnag. The cases have been filed under relevant laws governing food safety, hygiene, and public health standards.

Authorities confirmed that investigations are underway and violators will face stern legal consequences.

Reiterating their commitment to safeguarding public health, J&K Police urged all food business operators to strictly comply with the norms set by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and other regulatory agencies. [KNT]
