Infiltration Attempt Foiled, Pakistani National Caught at Border
Jammu, Sep 8, KNT: Border Security Force (BSF) on Monday foiled an alleged infiltration attempt along the Indo-Pak border and apprehended a Pakistani national.
Sources said the incident occurred under the jurisdiction of the 165th Battalion BSF at Border Out Post Octroi, opposite Pakistan’s Border Out Post Inayat. A youth was noticed moving suspiciously towards the border fence from the Pakistani side. BSF personnel immediately swung into action and apprehended him.

During the interception, both sides exchanged three to five rounds of fire. However, there were no reports of injuries or damage in the exchange.
Preliminary interrogation by BSF indicates that the individual appears to be mentally unstable. He has been taken into custody, and further investigation has been initiated by security agencies. [KNT]
