NIA conducts raid in Pulwama village

 

Pulwama, Sep 8, KNT: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday carried out a raid at a residential house in Gusso area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district in connection with an ongoing investigation.

Officials said the case under probe involves a photograph initially thought to be of Faizan Ahmad Dar, son of Manzoor Ahmad Dar. However, subsequent verification revealed that the image actually belonged to Tariq Ahmad Bhat, son of Muhammad Jabbar, a resident of Gusso.

Acting on these findings, the NIA team conducted searches at the residence of Tariq Ahmad Bhat. During the operation, investigators seized Aadhaar cards belonging to family members as well as a vehicle for further scrutiny.

The raid was part of efforts to trace the circumstances leading to the misidentification and to gather evidence relevant to the case. Further investigations are underway. [KNT]
