Wildlife Department refutes fake leopard sighting video in Budgam

Budgam, Sept 5, KNT: The Wildlife Department on Friday dismissed a video being circulated on social media about the alleged presence of a leopard in the Isgandarpora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district, terming it baseless and misleading.

An official of the department told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that their teams contacted the local villagers soon after the video surfaced, and people categorically denied any sighting of a leopard in the area.

“No leopard has been spotted in Isgandarpora. The video being circulated is fake and aimed at creating unnecessary panic,” the official said.
