BJP Ended J&K’s Identity, Should Present One-Year Report: Sakina Itoo

Srinagar, Oct 9, KNT: Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of dividing the erstwhile state and failing to deliver on its promises.
Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Itoo said the BJP’s performance in Jammu and Kashmir over the past year has been disappointing and devoid of meaningful development.

“BJP’s 28 MLAs should present a one-year report of what work they have done. We achieved a lot in a year despite facing hurdles. What BJP did was divide the historical state of Jammu and Kashmir and do nothing for the people,” she said.

The Education Minister alleged that the BJP’s policies have stripped Jammu and Kashmir of its distinct identity and eroded public confidence in governance. “BJP ended the identity of Jammu and Kashmir. We hope the Supreme Court will restore the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir,” she added.
