Anil Kumar Singh Appointed as New Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) of J&K

 

Srinagar, Oct 9, KNT: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has re-designated senior IAS officer Anil Kumar Singh of the 1995 AGMUT cadre as the new Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) following his elevation to the Apex Scale.

According to an official order, Singh’s promotion and re-designation were made after the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, approved his elevation to the Apex Scale (Level-17 in the Pay Matrix) through an order dated October 3, 2025.

Following the approval, the J&K Government issued a formal notification assigning him the charge of Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary). Officials confirmed that Anil Kumar Singh assumed his new responsibilities on the same day.

With his appointment, Singh now joins the top administrative echelon of Jammu and Kashmir, a position that carries key responsibilities in financial management, policy formulation, and coordination with central and state agencies. [KNT]
