Khansahab Police Recover Material Linked to Proscribed Militant Outfit, Duo Held

 

Budgam, Nov 11, KNT: Police in Khansahab area of Budgam district on Tuesday apprehended two individuals found in possession of material belonging to the proscribed militant outfit The Resistance Front (TRF) during a naka checking operation at Trajkhal–Khansahab Crossing.

According to police, the naka party from Police Station Khansahab intercepted two suspects moving under suspicious circumstances. Upon their personal search, 10 TRF posters were recovered, five from each individual. The seized material, police said, was intended for circulation to promote the banned organization’s propaganda.

The apprehended persons have been identified as Tariq Ahmad Tantray, son of Habibullah Tantray, and Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone, son of Nazir Ahmad Lone, both residents of Khaiepora, Khag.

Police said a case FIR No. 207/2025 under Section 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act has been registered at Police Station Khansahab, and further investigation has been initiated to determine the motive, possible handlers, and extent of the duo’s involvement with the banned group.
