Srinagar, Nov 15, KNT: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Saturday expressed deep shock over the deaths caused by the accidental explosion at Nowgam Police Station and called for a comprehensive and transparent investigation into the incident.
In a statement on X, Mirwaiz said the tragic loss of lives had left everyone “shocked and deeply saddened,” stressing the need to establish how such a large quantity of explosive material was handled with “apparent negligence,” resulting in the devastating blast. He said accountability must be fixed and the findings made fully public.
Mirwaiz prayed for those who lost their lives and expressed solidarity with the families affected by the tragedy. He also sought speedy recovery for the injured, saying that his thoughts and prayers were with every family impacted by the incident. [KNT]
