Mock Drill at Bijbehara Rail Station Tests Emergency Preparedness of Security Forces

Anantnag, Nov 29, KNT: Security forces in south Kashmir on Saturday carried out a full-scale mock drill at Bijbehara Railway Station to test preparedness for emergency situations and assess coordination among multiple agencies responsible for railway security.

The drill was coordinated by Anantnag Police and involved Government Railway Police, Railway Protection Force, CRPF 90 Battalion and 3rd Rashtriya Rifles. Officials said the exercise simulated a range of emergency situations to review standard operating procedures, response time and command coordination.

Officers involved in the drill said the focus was on real-time decision-making, evacuation readiness and seamless movement of response teams during high-risk situations. Observers assessed how quickly teams assembled, secured areas and communicated with each other under simulated pressure.
