Students, Locals Join IRP-23rd Battalion in Environmental Initiative at Barsoo

Awantipora, Nov 24, KNT: IRP-23rd Battalion on Monday organised an environmental plantation drive alongside a cultural programme at Government Boys High School Barsoo, Awantipora under the Civic Action Programme. The event saw active participation from students, teaching staff, Forest Department employees and locals who joined the police personnel in the initiative.

Commandant IRP-23rd Battalion, Shri Bakar Hussan Samoon IPS, and Dy Commandant Shri Ghulam Hassan JKPS interacted with the participants and emphasised the importance of collective efforts by the police and community in shaping a healthier and greener future. Officers said such programmes deepen cooperation at the grassroots and encourage youth to take responsibility for environmental conservation.
