Sufi Islamic Board Appoints Gul Nayeem as J&K UT Secretary


Srinagar, Nov 15, KNT: The Sufi Islamic Board has appointed Gul Nayeem as Secretary of its Jammu and Kashmir chapter, with the announcement formally approved by the organisation’s National President, Mansoor Khan.
In a statement, Khan said the Board decided to entrust Nayeem with the responsibility in recognition of his sustained public outreach, social activism and dedicated work for youth welfare across Jammu and Kashmir. He said Nayeem’s efforts in addressing drug addiction, social challenges and community issues had earned him credibility and respect within the organisation.
The Board expressed confidence that Nayeem’s socio-political experience would help strengthen Sufi outreach and bridge various sections of society in the Union Territory. “We hope he will work with greater zeal for the promotion of Sufism in the Valley. The Board will extend every possible support in this regard,” Khan said.
The Sufi Islamic Board has been expanding its presence across the country, focusing on youth engagement, countering radicalisation and promoting the values of peace and spiritual harmony rooted in Sufi traditions. [KNT]
