Waheed Para Says Assembly Vote Ignored Suffering of Families Facing Evictions

Srinagar, Nov 27, KNT: PDP leader Waheed Para on Thursday criticized the rejection of his party’s proposed Land Rights and Anti Bulldozer Bill, saying the decision had ignored the plight of families who are losing homes, land and dignity.

In a post shared on social media, Para uploaded a video showing a confrontation during an alleged eviction drive and said the scenes reflected exactly why the PDP had introduced the bill in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly. He alleged that the National Conference and BJP had voted against the proposal, calling the decision insensitive to those being rendered landless.
