BDGM–Banihal train cancelled today,  Train service from Banihal to Baramulla cancelled for tomorrow

Srinagar, Dec 27, KNT: Rail services on the Banihal–Baramulla section were disrupted on Saturday after a passenger train was cancelled due to non availability of a DMU rake, officials said.

Railway authorities told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the Train No. 74628, running from Budgam to Banihal, was today cancelled as the rake was not released from the DMU shed. Owing to the linking of train services on the section, the return service Train No. 74625 from Banihal to Baramulla will also remain cancelled on Sunday.

The cancellation is expected to cause inconvenience to daily commuters and passengers who rely on the rail link for travel across central and north Kashmir, particularly during the winter season.

Officials said the cancellation was communicated internally to all concerned operational wings, including commercial, electrical, carriage and wagon, and railway protection force units, to manage the impact and inform passengers.
