Carpet Export Promotion Council Declares Election Results for 2025

CEPC Elects New Leadership in New Delhi, Council Welcomes Gombar and Mahboob

New Delhi, Dec 11, KNT: The Carpet Export Promotion Council on Thursday announced the results of its 2025 elections, declaring Mukesh Kumar Gombar as Chairperson and Aslam Mahboob as Vice Chairperson. The results were announced at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Okhla, in the presence of member-exporters and members of the Council’s Committee of Administration.

Those present included Aslam Mahboob, Kuldeep Raj Wattal, Bodh Raj Malhotra, Deepak Khanna, Husain Jafar Husaini, Imtiaz Ahmad, Mahavir Pratap Sharma, Mehraj Yasin Jan, Mohd Wasif Ansari, Piyush Kumar Baranwal, Rohit Gupta, Shaukat Khan and Sanjay Kumar Gupta. Members of the Election Committee, Onkar Nath Misra and Umesh Kumar Gupta, were also in attendance.

The declaration of results was conducted by Returning Officer Dr Smita Nagarkoti and supervised by the Ministry-appointed observer Dr Sukhbir Singh Badhal, with the scrutinizer present during the process.

The Council extended congratulations to Capt. Mukesh Kumar Gombar and Aslam Mahboob, expressing confidence that their leadership will guide CEPC toward new achievements. It also appreciated the participation of the member-exporters and acknowledged the support of the Development Commissioner for Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of Commerce and Industries and NSDL for ensuring a transparent e-voting process. [KNT]
