Massive Fire Damages Two Shops in Budgam’s Khag Area

Budgam, Dec 7, KNT: Two shops were completely destroyed in a massive fire that broke out during the intervening night in the Khag area of Budgam district, causing substantial losses to the affected shopkeepers.

The blaze gutted a salon and an e-shop, reducing electronic items, photocopy machines, fire-related equipment and other valuable goods to ashes. One of the shopkeepers said the loss was enormous as nothing could be saved from inside the structures.

Fire and emergency services reached the spot immediately, supported by locals, police personnel and youth from Khag who worked together to prevent the flames from spreading to adjoining buildings. Their efforts ensured that the damage remained confined to the two shops.
