Mehbooba Mufti Hosts Journalists at Khimber, Holds Open Interaction


Srinagar, Dec 24, KNT: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday hosted a lunch for journalists at her residence in Khimber, on the outskirts of Srinagar.

Scores of senior journalists from across the Valley were invited to the gathering. Prior to the lunch, an open and informal interaction session was held during which journalists engaged Mehbooba Mufti on a range of issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir, including political developments, governance, and the prevailing situation in the region.

The interaction witnessed candid exchanges, with journalists raising questions on current challenges faced by the people and the future political roadmap of Jammu and Kashmir. Mehbooba Mufti responded to queries and shared her views on matters of public and political importance.

Several senior leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party were also present on the occasion. These included Iltija Mufti, Dr Mehboob Beigh, Nayeem Akhtar, Waheed Parra, Yasir Reshi, Mohit Bhan, Iqbal Tamboo, and other party functionaries.  [KNT]
