Srinagar, Dec 15, KNT: A labourer working at a stone quarry in the Panthachowk area of Srinagar died after sustaining a head injury on Monday, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Bhar Din Bali, son of Roshan Din Bali, a resident of Kari, Ramban, aged around 40 years. He was brought to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar by attendants, where doctors declared him brought dead.
According to attendants, the labourer was engaged in loading stones onto a tipper at a stone quarry at Panthachowk when a stone struck him on the head, causing serious injury.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further proceedings have been initiated to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death. [KNT]
