Two Private Employees Injured After Falling From Electric Pole at Cement Factory

Srinagar, Dec 25, KNT: Two private employees working at a private Cement factory in the Khanmoh area of Srinagar outskirts were injured on Thursday after falling from an electric pole while carrying out repair work inside the factory premises.

Officials said the incident occurred during the repair of an electric wire when the two employees lost balance and fell from the pole, sustaining multiple injuries. They were immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for medical treatment.

The injured have been identified as Irshad Ahmad Chopan, an inhabitant of Khanmoh, Srinagar, and Muhammad Shafi Kutay, a resident of Kulgam, aged about 30 years.

Hospital sources said both the injured sustained multiple injuries in the fall. However, their condition was stated to be stable and they are undergoing treatment at the hospital.  [KNT]
