Zonal Level Firing Competition Concludes at CTC Lethpora


Pulwama, Dec 27, KNT: The Zonal Level Firing Competition concluded successfully on Friday at the Central Training Centre Lethpora, marking the culmination of a competitive and skill focused marksmanship event involving police personnel from different units.
Certificates were awarded to winners and outstanding performers during the concluding ceremony. The awards were presented by the Chief Guest, Junaid Mahmood, Deputy Inspector General IRP Range Kashmir, who congratulated the participants for their achievements and appreciated the high level of professionalism displayed throughout the competition.
Addressing the gathering, the DIG highlighted the importance of such competitions in sharpening firing skills and enhancing operational readiness among police personnel. He said regular exposure to competitive shooting plays a vital role in maintaining precision, confidence and discipline.
Officials said the following participants emerged as winners in different weapon categories:
In the AK 47 category, the first position was secured by Gh Hassan, SP JKPS, Deputy Commandant IRP 23rd Battalion.
The first position in the Pistol category was claimed by Ashiq Hussain Tak, SSP, Deputy Commandant IRP 6th Battalion.
In the INSAS Rifle category, the first position was secured by Selection Grade Constable Farooq Ahmad of IRP 23rd Battalion.
The first position in the JVPC category was won by Head Constable Surinder Singh of JKAP 14th Battalion.
The overall first position in the competition was secured by Selection Grade Constable Farooq Ahmad of IRP 23rd Battalion.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers and personnel of various police units, reflecting their commitment towards continuous training and professional excellence.
