Pakistani man shot dead by BSF along International Border in J&K’s Samba


Samba, Jan 26, KNT: A Pakistani intruder was shot dead by troops of the Border Security Force along the International Border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir late Sunday night, officials said.
According to officials, the intruder was attempting to sneak into Indian territory through a border outpost in the Majra area of the Ramgarh sector when his movement was detected by alert border guards.
They said the intruder was challenged and warned by BSF personnel. However, when he ignored the warnings and continued moving towards the Indian side under the cover of darkness, the troops opened fire, resulting in his death.
Officials said the body of the deceased Pakistani national is lying close to the International Border. [KNT]
