Car Hits Tree in Pampore, Vehicle Skids in Gurez on Frozen Road

Srinagar, Nov 29, KNT: Two separate road accidents were reported from Pampore area of Pulwama district and Gurez sector of Bandipora on Saturday.

In Pampore, two persons sustained injuries after their car crashed into a tree in Wuyan area. Officials said the vehicle skidded on the slippery road and lost control before hitting the tree. Both occupants were shifted to hospital for treatment.

In another incident, a Swift Dzire veered off the road near Khopri Chorwan village of Gurez Valleyand landed in nearby fields.
The vehicle was on its way from Gurez to Bandipora when the driver lost control on the icy stretch.

Although the vehicle sustained extensive damage, all occupants escaped without injuries. The damaged vehicle was later recovered from the fields jointly by the police and the army. [KNT]
