Tanvir Sadiq Hits Out After LG Office Clarification, Says ‘No Reason for Fresh Queries’:

Srinagar, Dec 6, KNT: National Conference law maker, Tanvir Sadiq on Saturdayday reacted sharply to the clarification issued by the Lieutenant Governor’s office on the JKPSC examination issue, asserting that there was no justification for raising fresh queries once the elected government had already cleared the file.

Sadiq said that if the Chief Minister had sent the file after due approval, “there was absolutely no reason for any further queries.” He maintained that what had been followed as correct practice for years could not suddenly be questioned now, adding that the Chief Minister had clearly stated that the examinations should have been postponed.

He criticised what he described as unnecessary political interference, arguing that energy was being spent on creating confusion rather than resolving the grievance of aspirants. He said the Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma should “use his energy to exert pressure on Lok Bhawan” instead of engaging in what he termed petty politics within a dual power structure.

Sadiq said the party’s stand on the matter was unambiguous. He asserted that age relaxation must be granted and the examinations must be postponed, terming it the unanimous position of the elected government as well as the National Conference leadership.

He further warned against what he called misinformation being circulated around the issue, stating that any narrative contradicting these two demands was “either a lie or mere whataboutery.”

The JKPSC examination issue has triggered widespread debate and concern among aspirants, with political exchanges intensifying even as candidates continue to seek clarity and relief. [KNT]
