Baramulla, Dec 12, KNT: The Baramulla district administration has ordered a major reshuffle of patwaris, assigning fresh postings to fifty-one officials across multiple tehsils. The order, issued by the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, places newly appointed patwaris in rural and far flung areas for field training and probation as mandated by the Revenue Department.

According to the directive, the new patwaris have been positioned in halqas under Tangmarg, Kunzar, Watergam, Pattan, Uri, Wagoora, Baramulla and other tehsils. Each official will function under the close supervision of concerned girdawars or senior patwaris during the probation period. The administration has clarified that these postings are meant to ensure structured field exposure and continuous evaluation.

The Deputy Commissioner has instructed Tehsildars to independently assess the performance and proficiency of each patwari and to submit reports every six months to the Principal Revenue Training Institute Srinagar along with the Financial Commissioner Revenue.
