Srinagar, Dec 16, KNT: The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK), assisted by local police units and in the presence of executive magistrates, conducted a series of coordinated raids across Srinagar and central Kashmir in connection with a case registered in 2023 (FIR No 03) registered at Police Station CIK Srinagar, official sources said on Tuesday.
Sources said a joint team of CIK and Police carried out a raid at Pazwalpora, Shalimar, in Srinagar outskirts. During the operation, a lady, was detained and taken into custody. An Android mobile phone was seized from the house during the search.
In another operation at Tawheedabad, Bemina area of Srinagar, the CIK team detained a man for questioning in connection with the same case.
A separate raid was conducted at Dalhassanyar, Habakadal, where a man was apprehended and taken for questioning.

Sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that a CIK team conducted a raid at Maqdam Mohalla, Habak area Hazratbal, Srinagar.
In central Kashmir’s Budgam district, the CIK conducted a raid at Panzipora, Chadoora, at the residence of a lady. Officials said that the lady and her father were taken to Police Station for further investigation.
Separately, during a raid at Wallerhama, Pahalgam area in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, the CIK seized one laptop and one mobile phone from from the owner of the house. The operation concluded with the arrest of he house owner and the recovery of a Redmi mobile phone and a laptop.
Officials said the raids and detentions were part of an ongoing probe and further investigation is underway. [KNT]
