Poster Case: Joint NIA–SIA Team Searches Premises Linked to Cleric in Custody

 

Srinagar, Dec 19, KNT: A joint team of the National Investigation Agency and the State Investigation Agency conducted a search in the Naikbagh Nowgam area on the outskirts of Srinagar on Friday in connection with a poster case registered at Police Station Nowgam.

Officials said the search was carried out in a rented room linked to Molvi Irfan Ahmad Wagay, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Wagay, a inhabitant of Nadigam, Shopian, who is currently under custody.

According to officials, the search formed part of the ongoing investigation into the circulation of posters in the Nowgam area. The joint team examined the premises for material relevant to the probe and documented items for further scrutiny.
