Baramulla, 25 April :Dr. Vinod Kumar, IPS, today assumed charge as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, North Kashmir Range (NKR), at the Range Police Headquarters, Baramulla.
He succeeds Maqsood-ul-Zaman, IPS, who has been posted as DIG Armed Police, Kashmir.
Upon assuming office, the DIG underscored his commitment to ensuring dedicated, transparent, and corruption-free policing. Highlighting the significance of public trust, he expressed confidence in further strengthening police-public relations and maintaining peace and law & order across the Range.
